Getting to the ranch

Its 25 kilometers from Lucca to the ranch but it will take about 35 a 40 minutes driving!

Direction to the ranch from Lucca:

Follow the walls of Lucca through a long avenue of trees and stay right...at the end of the avenue of trees take second exit of a roundabout following signs to Abetone / Bagni Di Lucca. (SS12)

At the next small roundabout with strange street lamps coming out of it like a fountain, turn left and follow signs for Bagni Di Lucca.

After 500 yards go through the traffic lights staying right  … continue straight. Follow road until you come to a large supermarket “ Esselunga” keep left then turn left following signs to Abetone.

At next roundabout go straight on, through tunnels and pass quarry.

Go over level crossing and continue straight (with the river on your left hand side).

Pass the hydro electric dam on left and then the famous medieval Devils bridge (unmistakable)

Keep on road with river on left hand side. Trafficlights, then ALBERGO CORONA hotel on the left, go straight on for about 6 kilometers. Then, on the right hand there is a signpost Ponte a Diana. After that a big pink building with FABBRO written on it. Immediately after this building you see the wooden signs Ruscello Ranch. Take the steep road up and turn right. You enter a green gate, the entrance of Ruscello Ranch. Horses are at the back of the terrain, park where you like.

By Train:

Take to train from Lucca station to Bagni di Lucca. Its a trip of 26 minutes. The ranch is 12 kilometers from the station. There are no buslines to the ranch.You can book transport to the ranch and back for 15 euros, maximum of 5 persons.

From the airport Pisa Galileo Galilei

Leave airport and take Autostrada direction Genova / Livorno (E80 Genova / Pisa Nord)

follow Autostrada until you take direction  Pisa Nord / Firenze E76 and go on until take Firenze / Lucca E76.

Take Lucca Ovest and go through Lucca Ovest Pay toll €2,20 Then follow signs for Abetone SS12. Stay left of the Mc Donald. Read further on the top..
